Lets Rewind back a decade! 2005, a impactful year on my music career, as I released my first EP, 'Platnuim in the Shower' The year's leading up to '05, I was super hungry battle MC and in battle zone with in my Hip-Hop community, always battling other MC's around town, gettin my rep up. We didn't have the internet for instant gratification that it now provides this generation of rapper's. You really had to practice and be good at your craft and pay dues!

At that point in time, my mind was focused on strictly battling when it came to rapping. Bars,Punchlines,Metahors, etc.. Battle,Battle,Battle!! thats what I thought you needed to do to become the best! Funny how things changed and came full circle when I met Mr. Noel Zancanella in 1998 while attending college through a good friend Gabe Patterson AKA Surpass Flavor. This dude would change my life forever! Noel Zancanella, is a purist when it comes to his music craft. He is a master producer and engineer, with a keen ear for sound and the the understanding of the fullness within the hiphop sound.. At that point back in '98 he was strictly producing for a Surpass, years later he also produced for fellow Radio Bum comrade, Spoke In Wordz.

Noel Zancanella is an American songwriter and record producer based in Los Angeles, California. He has written songs for rock and pop artists such as OneRepublic, Maroon 5, B.o.B, Gym Class Heroes, Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat. Zancanella is represented by Advanced Alternative Media, Inc.

He is the brainchild and master mind behind my first EP, 'Platnuim in the Shower'. Noel, produced, engineered and recorded all songs presented on that project which was only released on Vinyl in 2005. It was later offered on Itunes, Rapsody, Spotify,Amazon etc. It all was done and record on 2inch reel to reel tape, that good old Analog sound. I landed a distribuation deal through Basementalism Records, which pressed up 1200 pieces of Vinyl, and I sold 800 copies in Poland, the first week it was released. I was pumped! The journey has just become, and I was very humbled to be able to share my craft to the world. All I ever wanted to do was make a classic Hip-Hop record like 'Passin Me By". When I heard the Beat For 'Sunshowers' I was blown away! and knew it was that classic sound that i was looking for.

A few months after it was released I got a call from a London based DJ, by the name of Nicci Cheeks! A Hip-Hop Advocate in Europe, who had a huge following over seas. She asked if 'Sunshowers' would be apart of a project she was conducting called, "Hip-Hop Love Jazz" featuring a powerhouse of Underground heavy hitters: WordsWorth,Kev Brown, J-RawlsCut Chemist, El-The-Sensai-The Procusssions, and others. Being blessed with such a great opportunity to be able to be involved with so many talented underground super stars, I was very humbled for the chance to display my song on a great musical soundscape. Shooting forward to, 2009, I linked up with my good friend, Jaysun Lousin. He has literally been following me around, recording my show's and battles since 1998. He recently moved to Brooklyn right around '09. So it was a great time for US to bring 'Sunshowers' to Life through video. The first thing we neeeded to do was try and find a woman in New York, whom could bring the song to life, we needed someone who embodied the essence and vibe of a New York, woman. We even hosted auditions to those ladies in the area who may wanted to be involved.. Peep the Flyer for that!

With many, many, lovely ladies showing up and coming out to the audition and be apart of the action, this lovely Lady, the Bronx beauty, Ozzy won the heart of the lens and producers.Our vibe matched perfectly for what we were trying to portray and we connected, to bring a great visual platform formula for the 'Sunshowers' atmosphere!

" Finally got a peek at Dent's new video for "Sun Showers," filmed by Jaysun Loushin's production company, Sunsaytional, on location over the course of five days in New York last month. The clip opens with Dent making his way across the Brooklyn Bridge in a sick throwback Broncos tee, and then basically pivots on shots of the MC offering up a literal depiction of the "Sun Shower" lyrics, as he dashes up on a lovely Latyoya Jackson doppelgänger, with various New York locales serving as the backdrop. Another good look for local hip-hop."

With so much hyped and anticipation for releasing this video, some of my Denver homies, felt kinda left out of the mix, not able to be involved with the shoot out in New York. So, last minute we decided to make two different versions to the 'Sunshowers' video. We included a Denver version of 'Sunshowers' as we created a cool twist, setting the back drop in a fresh Denver cereal and bakery store called, "The Shoppe" on Colfax, (which is no longer opened) produced by:Marzito.

This song most definitely boosted my Rap career to some great heights. We released both video versions in 2009, as we gained some great reviews from some well respected Hip-Hop websites and bloggers coast to coast. We got over 10K views on both versions of the video. In 2010 I landed a year long licensing agreemnet through MTV, to use 'Sunshowers' and the rest of my EP on TV's shows like, The Real World, Rob and Big, and MTV Cribs. This accomplishment, sent small ripple effects across the Rap career, but enough for me to leave my mark and to leave my DENT! Later on this past year, someone hacked in to our Youtube Account and took down all of 'Sunsayional' films uploaded. We currently created a NEW account and had to re-upload the 'Sunshower' video's again. Take some time out and give it a view watches and share it. Help US get our views back and vibe out to a good song that sounds brand new, everytime you hear it. I still get a lot of people hittin me up about this song, and is loved and played till this day. That is a sign of a Hip-Hop Classic! Very blesssed to be able to play my part and to contribute my art, my poetry for the movement of Hip-Hop!
