Brand Newz Producer Christopher “Play” Martin’s up close and personal documentary feature that introduces the question to industry peers, friends and academic scholars “Can Hip Hop Go To School?” premieres at the Schomburg Center in Harlem, New York November 2013.
This documentary short ask what would school be like today if Hip Hop culture and it’s influence was included as a tool to help recruit kids to and keep them in school. The answers, opinions and advice are enlightening as they famous faces and game changers talk about their personal journeys and some lives without education.
