I know you still buzzing about the roots show last night, as they turnt the place up at the odgen in denver. It was SOLD Out and I wasn't able to make it. I remember first seeing the ROOTS on their " Do ya Want More' Tour in boulder, at club mecca around 94/'95. 3deep was the first ones who brought the roots to colorado. Super dope feeling, walking down stairs and seeing brother ? on the drums, and the band set up! the roots is the all time illest hip-hop band, they got me through many many years of my life, and played a heavy role in my soundtrack of life. blaclk thought is most defnitely in my top 10 of fav. mc's. they been holding the tourch for hip-hop for decades now! philly in the house! i stumbled across this DOPE Mix from Brother ? Questlove, the drummer from The Roots (leader of the house band on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon), put together a mix of sampled songs that popular hip hop songs have borrowed from.
